The Bolivarian National Armed Force (Fanb) discovered in Tumeremo (Bolívar) a cache of weapons belonging to the criminal organization Three Roots.
Details of the discovery were revealed by General Domingo Hernández Lárez, head of the Strategic Operational Command of the Fanb (Ceofanb) who, through his twitter account, published photographs of the seized weapons.
At the site they located a total of 45,686 cartridges, including 30,225 that fit into rifles.
They also found two 7.62×39mm caliber T6 rifles, a 22mm caliber rifle and a 12mm shotgun.
The warehouse also housed 15 7.62×39mm caliber AZ magazines, an AR-15 rifle magazine and a rifle magazine.
Regarding explosives, the military seized 102 grenades: 70 60-mm anti-personnel mortar, six 60-mm high-explosive mortar, twenty-six 40-mm, and two mortars.
In the establishment they also found two Strike Face brand level IV ballistic plates, a black bulletproof vest, clothing alluding to the Tres Raíces group, twenty-two marijuana panels weighing approximately 11 kilos 60 grams and two cocaine wrappers that totaled 1 kilo 64. grams.
Hernández Lárez indicated that the Amazonas Rapid Response and Reaction Unit deactivated 7 loads of improvised explosive devices placed by the Tres Raíces criminal organization on the routes to the illegal mines.
“Any terrorist group with weapons of war will be combated and neutralized as it is considered a threat to the security and defense of the nation,” warned the head of Ceofanb.
