FANB dismantled another illegal mining camp in Parque Yapacana

Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) dismantled a camp of mining illegal plant installed in the Yapacana National Park, located in the state of Amazonas, in which logistical material was seized to systematically destroy the vegetation and ecosystems, reported the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez explained that the intervention in the camp was the product of Operation Autana 2023 carried out by the FANB, with the purpose of protecting the security zones of the Venezuelan State.

He denounced that “criminal groups led by environmental terrorists promote from Inírida in Colombia the debacle of the ecosystem, ignoring Venezuelan laws, disrespecting territorial ordering.”

“Within the framework of #OperacionAutana2023, #FANB intervenes and dismantles camp mining illegally installed in the Yapacana National Park, used as logistical support to systematically destroy the vegetation and ecosystems present in that special administration area, considered a State security zone, where criminal groups led by environmental terrorists promote the debacle from Inírida in Colombia of the ecosystem, ignoring Venezuelan laws, disrespecting the territorial ordering. Every citizen has the duty and the right to preserve the environment according to the CRBV. During the day, the following materials were destroyed: – Two (02) 1,000W electric hammers. – One (01) 220V electric motor. of 7.5 Hp. – Two (02) Hulls of turbines of high pressure water engines. – One (01) Drilling wick. – One (01) set of gaskets for hydraulic motor. – One (01) Satellite TV connection antenna. – Forty-five (45) meters of coaxial cable. – One (01) fan (Fan Clutch) with a hydraulic motor. – One (01) double compressor pulley (water pump complement). – Two (02) 2,000W portable power plants. – Two (02) 200 cc motorcycles”, published the Chief of Ceofanb on Twitter.

In the procedure, the military seized and destroyed the following logistics material used to destroy ecosystems:

  • Two (02) 1,000W electric hammers
  • One (01) 220V electric motor. 7.5hp
  • Two (02) Turbine shells of high pressure water engines
  • One (01) Drill Bit
  • One (01) set of gaskets for hydraulic motor
  • One (01) Satellite TV connection antenna
  • Forty-five (45) meters of coaxial cable
  • One (01) fan (Fan Clutch) with Hydraulic motor
  • One (01) double compressor pulley (water pump complement)
  • Two (02) 2,000W portable power plants
  • Two (02) 200 cc motorcycles

FANB active complying with security plans

The Chief of Ceofanb has reiterated that “all criminal machinery and structures present in national parks will be destroyed, which, disrespecting territorial ordering, break into nature and ecosystems.”

In this sense, the FANB will remain active and deployed in all natural reserves to protect and preserve the environment, said Hernández Lárez.

Hernández Lárez stressed that both the FANB and any person inhabiting the national territory must conserve the ecosystems.

“Every citizen has the duty and the right to preserve the environment in accordance with the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,” he said.
