staff of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) dismantled 16 makeshift homes and disabled 12 engines used to practice the mining illegal in Amazonas state. These actions are part of Operation Autana 2023, reported the Head of the Strategic Operational Command of the FANB (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.
Through his Twitter account, Hernández Lárez explained that in the procedure the FANB dismantled “sixteen (16) makeshift homes and disabled twelve (12) engines with their logistics structure.”
He also pointed out that these FANB actions are framed in the “defense of the environment and the fight against organized crime groups that break into ecosystems, undermine soils and contaminate ecosystems.”

Venezuela is a State of law and justice, the illegal mining facilities will be dismantled and destroyed and the ecocides will pay for their crimes according to the law”, published the Chief of Ceofanb.
Faced with these violations of the legal system in defense of the environment, Hernández Lárez stressed that the FANB will continue to be deployed to put an end to criminal groups that seek to undermine the country’s ecosystems.
“Venezuela is a State of law and justice, the illegal mining facilities will be dismantled and destroyed and the ecocidas will pay for their crimes according to the law,” he added.
They neutralize an extortionist group in Bolívar
The Bolivarian National Armed Forces detained four people without identification, with weapons of war and military equipment, who were engaged in the collection of vaccines, extortion and trafficking in people used in illegal mines as forced labor in Bolívar state.
The information was released by the head of the Ceofanb, Domingo Hernández Lárez, who through Twitter explained that the arrest was made as part of the Operation Roraima 2023 deployed in Bolívar state.
“In Bolívar state, during #OperacionRoraima2023 in defense of the environment and the fight against organized crime groups that break into ecosystems and undermine the soil for the practice of illegal mining, #FANB detains four (04) subjects without identification, carrying weapons of war and military supplies, who were engaged in the collection of vaccines, extortion and trafficking in people used in illegal mines as forced labor,” Hernández Lárez said on the social network.
FANB guarantor of the ecosystems
The FANB remains active and in combat against irregular groups that intend to commit actions that threaten the country’s ecosystem.
In this sense, the head of Ceofanb has reiterated that “National Parks, Natural Monuments and Forest Reserves are protected areas of the State, natural depredation is prohibited.”
The FANB carries out a “titanic work of dismantling the structures of natural depredation installed by unscrupulous beings associated with border crime groups. We Venezuelans have the duty and the right to preserve the nature and integrity of the territory, ”he stressed.
