Fanb disables three drug trafficking aircraft in Amazonas

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) disabled three new drug trafficking aircraft located on illegal runways in the Atabapo municipality, in the state of Amazonas.

The strategic operational commander of the Fanb, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, published through his Instagram account that this operation was carried out by the Rapid Combat Reaction Units during Operation Bolivarian Shield “Neblina 2026”.

During the border patrol, the military forces detected two clandestine runways that served as a logistics platform for cross-border groups.

A Cessna 206 light aircraft (acronym YV-2597), a model BE-58 aircraft (acronym PR-LLR) and a third unit with registration PS-FLX were destroyed at the site.

After verifying the equipment, the commissions proceeded to completely disable the aircraft to neutralize their use in illicit activities, managing to reinforce national sovereignty in the south of the country.

The Fanb maintains permanent deployment on the border to detect and destroy any illegal infrastructure that attempts to violate the territorial integrity of Venezuela.
