staff of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) detected and seized at the mouth of the Orinoco a semi-submersible submarine used by drug traffickers to try to cross the national territory surreptitiously.
The information was provided by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez through his account on the social network Twitter. In a message, Hernández Lárez pointed out that the action is part of the Wara 2023 Bolivarian Shield Operation.

Also at the mouth of the Orinoco, and as part of the same operation, FANB troops detected and intervened a camp for criminal groups associated with drug trafficking.
“Operation Bolivarian Shield “Wara 2023” is activated. No structures may be established in our territory for arms purposes, drug trafficking, illegal minery or human trafficking. #FANB guaranteeing territorial integrity and national sovereignty”, added the Commander of the Ceofanb in relation to the activation of this operation for the protection of the country.
FANB destroys illegal mining camp in Yapacana
Also through Twitter, Hernández Lárez reported on the destruction in the Yapacana National Park, Amazonas state, of illegal mining machinery and platforms used by criminal gangs to exploit and degrade the natural environment in areas protected by the State.
“All the structures of armed criminal groups outside the law, predators of the environment, that violate the territorial and legal ordering in the National Parks and Monuments, will be dismantled and destroyed. Venezuela is territory of Peace! ”, She ratified.
