The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) detected and disabled hostile aircraft number 13 of the 2023 in the Pedro Camejo municipality in Apure state, for illegally enter Venezuelan airspace and violate national sovereignty. This was reported by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez specified that the aircraft detected by the SDT and disabled he had the transponder disconnected, he was without visible identification or flight plan.

Comprehensive Airspace Defense
Hernández Lárez stressed that the operation carried out by the FANB was carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Control Law for the Integral Defense of the Venezuelan Airspace.

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) remains active protecting all the aquatic, terrestrial and air spaces of the country, to guarantee respect for the sovereignty of the Venezuelan territory.
By December 2022, it had shot down a total of 42 illegal aircraft for violating the Airspace Comprehensive Defense Control Law, through the Comprehensive Aerospace Defense Command.
So far in 2023, the FANB has disabled 13 illegal aircraft that have violated the airspace of the national territory.
