The information was released, through his account on the social network Twitter, by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, who explained that in the hidden trench “2 pimpinas of 20lts, 3 iron cylinders, 1 iron triangle and 3 4-litre bottles, all with non-industrialized explosives”.
Hernández Lárez stressed that these actions of the Bolivarian National Armed Force They are part of Operation Cacique Murachí 2023 that the military maintains in the state of Táchira.

As part of the same Cacique Murachí 2023 operation, the FANB arrested a citizen who was transporting three packages of alleged cocaine.
“Operation Cacique Murachí 2023. #FANB apprehended a citizen who was carrying hidden in her belongings 3 packages of alleged cocaine drug, weighing 0.910 kg. She was traveling on public transport from Colombia. Procedure placed at the order of the Public Ministry”, indicated Hernández Lárez.
Fighting illegal mining
On the other hand, the Chief of the Ceofanb stressed that the FANB remains deployed on the country’s borders to combat illegal mining practices.
“#FANB deployed in Operation Roraima 2023 dismantling illegal mining structures in Bolívar state,” he said on the social network.
He added that the FANB guarantees the defense and environmental protection against irregular groups that seek to damage the country’s parks and natural ecosystems.
“#FANB deploy forces and means in the #REDI @Guayana_Invictaoperationalizing the security, defense and environmental protection plans against the predation of illegal mining in our national parks,” he added.
FANB guarantor of the country’s sovereignty
The head of Ceofanb, Domingo Hernández Lárez, has reiterated that the members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces will continue deployed in the different states of the national territory, in the fight against drug trafficking groups Tancol; gangs dedicated to illegal mining, extortion, and illegal takeovers of strategic facilities.
“The national soil is not negotiated, all armed terrorist groups that try to use our border territory as a hideout will be expelled,” he emphasized.
