staff of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) detected in Bolívar state, a sentry box with weapons of war used by armed groups of mining illegal, reported the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez explained that the discovery occurred after patrolling, searching and scrutinizing groups outside the law.
He reiterated that the military has as a premise that “Venezuela is a State of law and justice.”

Prohibited mining ponds
Regarding the use of equipment or tools that threaten the environment, the Chief of Ceofanb indicated that mining exploitation ponds are prohibited in water tributaries, for causing contamination to the region’s ecosystem.
In this sense, he recalled that it is a duty of the FANB to protect the country’s environment and for this reason the military remains active guarantors of the ecosystems.
“Mining exploitation ponds are prohibited in water tributaries as they are polluting factors of the biomes and life in the region. It is a duty and a constitutional right to protect the environment and ecosystems. #FANB will dismantle all types of mining structures present in our aquatic spaces, ”he said on the social network.
Amazon protected by the FANB
For its part, the Strategic Region of Integral Capital Defense (Redi Capital) is alert and in reconnaissance work in the state Amazon to protect natural resources.
“@Redi_Capital2 in tasks of reconnaissance and insertion of troops for the protection of the environment and the ecosystems of the Amazonas state”, indicated the head of Ceofanb.
In a video published on the social network, it is detailed that Redi Capital is “in Amazonas advancing to defend the sovereignty, integrity and national soil, with the aim of preserving natural resources and natural areas, thus complying with the Fifth Objective of the Homeland”.
Given the continuous actions of the FANB against illegal mining and any action that affects the country’s ecosystems, Domingo Hernández Lárez ratified that the military will continue to be deployed to evict “contaminating mining invasions that are installed in national parks and monuments destroying our ecosystems and operating in security areas prohibited by the State”.
National Reforestation Plan
On the other hand, the head of Ceofanb reported that the National Reforestation Plan It continues advancing throughout the territory, fulfilling the Fifth Objective of the Homeland, which establishes guaranteeing the salvation of life on the planet.
In this sense, he stressed that the FANB participates together with the people in the different reforestation campaigns.
“#FANB and the organized people participating in environmental forestation campaigns in compliance with the 5th Historical Objective of the Homeland to guarantee the salvation of life on the planet,” said Hernández Lárez.
Assets Falcón and the Andes region
With the objective of conserving and preserving life in all the country’s ecosystems, the FANB continues to carry out reforestation work together with the town of Falcón and the Andes region.
Specifically in Falcón, the planting of trees in natural and public spaces of the entity continues, Zodi Falcón indicated on the social network Twitter.
