FANB destroys equipment used for illegal mining in Amazonas

The information was released by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, who through his account on the social network Twitter explained that these criminal groups “arbitrarily destroy the environment and the vegetation layer disrespecting Venezuelan laws.

“In the Yapacana National Park, #FANB dismantles and destroys logistics equipment belonging to illegal mining criminal groups that arbitrarily destroy the environment and the vegetation layer, disrespecting Venezuelan laws. The protection of nature is a civic duty,” Hernández Lárez posted on Twitter.

The Chief of the Ceofanb indicated that the FANB remains active guaranteeing the defense of the country’s environmental resources, by carrying out operations in the different national parks, national monuments and forest reserves of the Venezuelan Amazon.

“Operation Autana 2023, in defense of our natural parks, forests and forest reserves, against illegal mining. All illegal structures installed in security zones protected by the State will be destroyed, ”he stressed on the social network.

The head of the Ceofanb indicated that the military of the FANB in ​​their task of protecting the natural environments of the country are deployed in the forest reserves of San Camilo in the state of Apure.

FANB to the fight against mining

It should be noted that the FANB maintains permanent patrols in the natural areas protected by the State, to preserve the ecosystems of the entire national territory from illegal actions of irregular groups that act in violation of the rules.

In this sense, the troops of the FANB are committed to the defense and sovereignty of the natural environments of the national territory, for which they will maintain the deployment in the different natural environments, the Chief of the Ceofanb recently said.
