Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) in scrutiny work in the South of the Lake, in Zulia, located and destroyed 1,200 liters of jet fuel, used for illegal drug trafficking, reported the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez .
In a message published on his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez explained that the FANB continues to carry out scrutiny work in the South of the Lake, “to eradicate illegal drug trafficking.”
In the work, the troops of the FANB they disabled clandestine airstrips and destroyed logistics structures linked to the group Terroristas Armados Narcotraficantes de Colombia (Tancol).
«In the Edo Zulia #FANB carries out scrutiny operations in the South of the Lake to eradicate illegal drug trafficking through the disabling of clandestine airstrips and the destruction of the TANCOL logistics structure. 1,200 liters of Jet A-1 are located and destroyed in the brush,” he posted on Twitter.
The Chief of the Ceofanb confirmed that the FANB maintains patrol operations to guarantee territorial security.
“Combat Patrols travel daily through our border geographic space on security and territorial integrity missions,” said Hernández Lárez.
FANB in defense of the homeland
The FANB continues daily in its fight for the defense of the national territory and the security of its inhabitants, in this sense, it remains in security work to eradicate drug trafficking.
It should be remembered that the actions taken by the FANB respond to the instruction given by President Nicolás Maduro, who declared the year 2022 a free year for the Tancols. On that occasion, he ordered the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) to free all the border areas of the country from these gangs.
