FANB deploys 2,500 troops and machinery in support of El Castaño

With the dawn hours of this Tuesday, 2,500 members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) arrived in El Castaño, Aragua state, with machinery to provide support to the population affected by the landslide caused by the overflow of the Palmarito ravine that occurred this Monday. .

The information was released by the Operational Strategic Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Domingo Hernández Lárez, through his account on the social network Twitter.

“From Las Tejerías we come and continue in Aragua, in El Castaño, with the joint effort in perfect civic-military union, with all our available means, with our force of action, with our sweat and our arms,” ​​he published along with a video that showed the troops arriving at El Castaño.

Redi Central active in El Castaño

Later, he reported that the Territorial Defensive System of the Strategic Region of Comprehensive Defense (Redi) Central remains incorporated in this task “according to the contingency plans, to provide an immediate response to the sectors affected by rainfall in the state of Aragua », pointed out Hernández Lárez.

In other messages, photographs and videos show the deployment of FANB troops to provide support to the population of El Castaño. “Nothing stops us,” they say.

In another message on Twitter, the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB recalled that it “places at the disposal of the people field hospitals with all the capabilities, to attend to any health emergency.”

This Monday the overflow of the Palmarito creek affected El Castaño, Palmarito and Corozal, in the Girardot municipality, Aragua state.

The National Government is deployed in the sector to attend to the contingency. This Monday, at night, the President of the Republic, Nicholas Maduroindicated from the site that there were three deaths and 50 houses affected.

It should be remembered that the state of Aragua has been strongly affected by the rains of recent months. At the beginning of October, there was a landslide in Las Tejerías due to intense rains, which left more than 50 dead.
