The Venezuelan Government built, on the border with Guayana Esequiba, a comprehensive rural school and a type I outpatient clinic, intended to improve social care for the local population.
Last Thursday, Venezuela had inaugurated a fixed bridge over the Cuyuní River on the island of Anacoco as part of the Venezuelan Government’s efforts to reaffirm its sovereignty over that disputed region.
The Minister for Defense, Padrino López, stressed that these initiatives are part of a commitment to reaffirm Venezuela’s sovereignty over the Essequibo.
He declared that “the intention is not to militarily occupy the spaces, that is a wrong concept that has been tried to manipulate. The Bolivarian National Armed Forces have come here to promote national development,” added Padrino López.
