The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) unrestrictedly supports the legitimate and sovereign decision of the National Assembly (AN) by sanctioning the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence, subsequently promulgated by the national Executive.
In a statement, the Minister for Defense, Vladimir PadrinoLópez, highlighted that this legal mechanism — developed within the national dialogue and approved unanimously in Parliament — should be interpreted as a sign of maturity and political strength. He also pointed out that this process represents a transcendental step to achieve the stability of the nation.
“Forgiveness does not mean validating mistakes or erasing memory, but rather exercising the spiritual greatness necessary to not allow pain to prevent us from moving forward in the present time,” the minister stressed.
In that sense, he reaffirmed that respect and sincere consensus in politics are the most powerful tools to consolidate democracy.

Celebration and institutional support
Padrino López also published a message through his Telegram channel, accompanied by a photograph of the acting president Delcy Rodríguez holding the signed document.
In the publication he stressed: “From Fanb we celebrate the unanimous approval and promulgation of the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence, which will open paths for forgiveness, reconciliation and an agonal political game in which the mutual recognition of the parties prevails.”
Finally, given the news, he noted that history must serve as a guide in building the country’s future.
