FANB captured a citizen with 160 electric detonators

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) captured a citizen with 160 electric detonators hidden in the bumper of a vehicle in which he was traveling to Bolívar state.

The information was released by the head of the Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, who through his account on the social network Twitter explained that “the GNB-CZGNB-11 Maracaibo-Zulia, in the PAC Punta de Piedras , arrest a citizen with 160 electric detonators hidden in the bumper of his vehicle, which was traveling towards Bolívar state».

He also stressed that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces remains active in its fight against drug trafficking and illegal mining.

Deployed on cross-border axes

Hernández Lárez indicated that the military forces remain deployed in the cross-border axes of the country, with the aim of ending the irregular groups.

“URRA Guárico and URRA Monagas, carrying out reconnaissance tasks and searching for explosive devices planted by the TANCOLs as they passed through the Apureño cross-border axis, while trying to control the population through terror,” he said.

Likewise, he highlighted the work of the Bolivarian Militia “as part of the FANB, exercising sovereignty in the Amazon Jungle, combating illegal mining and smuggling.”

Venezuela: land of peace

For the Head of Ceofanb, «the geographical space of Venezuela is a territory of peace. Installations or camps for military purposes, illegal mining, drug trafficking and others may not be established in it. Threats against the sovereignty and security of the Homeland will be extirpated from the national territory.

The actions undertaken by the FANB at the country’s borders are framed in the premise of declaring 2022 as the year 100% free of the Terrorist Drug Trafficking groups of Colombia (Tancol), an order issued by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
