FANB arrests six for trafficking and illicit human trafficking

Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) arrested six people dedicated to the smuggling and illicit trafficking of people, at the mouth of the Orinoco River, in Bolívar state.

The information was provided by Domingo Hernández Larez, head of the FANB’s Operational Strategic Command (Ceofanb). Through his account on the social network Twitter, he explained that, at the time of the arrest, the citizens were transferring 14 people through prohibited routes to the island of Trinidad, “under false pretexts and misleading offers.”

“REDI Guayana in the mouths of the Orinoco River, detains 6 subjects dedicated to trafficking and illicit human trafficking, who tried under false pretexts and misleading offers, to take 14 citizens to the island of Trinidad through prohibited routes,” Hernández Lárez published.

Thanks to the permanent deployment of FANB officials in the Guayana region, another six armed men were recently arrested, linked to criminal groups dedicated to illegal mining trade and strategic materials.

Also, seized three helicopter fuselagesone plane and 3,000 liters of jet fuel, used to commit the crimes.

They raid a clandestine weapons park

On the other hand, the Commander of Ceofanb reported that an alleged health center was raided that clandestinely served as a weapons and ammunition park for the criminal group Las 3R.

FANB in ​​defense of the environment

The Bolivarian National Armed Force remains deployed in all parts of the country in a frontal fight against drug trafficking and other illicit activities.

These actions also seek to protect the environment, biological diversity, and in general the areas of special ecological importance in Venezuela.

In this regard, the head of Ceofanb stated that “the State will protect the environmentbiological diversity, genetic resources, ecological processes, national parks and natural monuments and other areas of special ecological importance!
