Cash of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) and citizen security organs apprehended four citizens in the Semprún municipality of Zulia state, who were secretly transporting 32 panels of cocaine in a Toyota Hilux vehicle, with a total weight of 36 kilograms.
«FANB and OSC apprehend 4 citizens in the Semprún-Zulia municipality, who were secretly transporting 32 panels of cocaine weighing 36 kg,” said the head of the FANB’s Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, on his Twitter account.
In this regard, Hernández Lárez reiterated that “Venezuela actively fights against drug trafficking, our country will not be a route for drugs.”
Frontal fight against drug trafficking
The national government maintains a frontal fight against drug trafficking, in this sense, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, ratified on June 26 the actions against this scourge, on the occasion of the celebration of World Drug Day. Fight against drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking.
“Venezuela is a territory free of illicit crops, as a result of the effective public policies of the Venezuelan State in this matter, achieving the seizure of more than 22,000 kilograms of drugs this year,” the National Anti-Drug Superintendent, Major General (MG) Richard López Vargas, recently said.
