For the Chief of Ceofanb, the territory of the Amazon National Parks must be preserved and protected, so that “ignorance of the law does not excuse its compliance.”
In this sense, he ratified that “the law will prevail over the customs” of groups that seek to undermine the natural reservoirs of the national territory.
Likewise, Hernández Lárez reiterated that all these actions are carried out in compliance with the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the FANB and constitutional President, Nicolás Maduro.

He noted that “the Environmental Criminal Law defines crimes and establishes sanctions for those who cause substantial damage to the quality of the air, soil, water, and natural resources.”
The legal instrument applies to natural and legal persons who commit this type of crime in the territory of the Republic.
