The head of the Operational Strategic Command of the National Armed Forces (Ceofan), G/J Domingo Hernandez Larezreported this Monday, April 10, an alleged “hostile aircraft” was shot down in the Pedro Camejo municipality of Apure state, in an area near the border with Colombia.
Hernández Lárez indicated that the downed aircraft, number 13 so far in 2023 according to his own count, was not identified or had a specific flight plan, for which reason it was declared a “target of interest” for Aviation since it violated “the provisions on air traffic”.
