A fan died after being run over by a Military Police riot police vehicle, on Sunday night (25), in Itaquera, in the parking lot of Neo Química Arena, Corinthians stadium.
The 37-year-old man was run over when the police officer was moving the armored vehicle in front of one of the gates of the Corinthians arena, which hosted the match between Santos and Bragantino in another round of the Campeonato Paulista.
THE The case was registered in the 24th Police District (Ponte Rasa) as manslaughter (when there is no intention to kill) and remains under investigation.
In a statement, the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat reported that it “regrets the death” and that tests were requested from the Criminalistics and Legal Medical Institutes. After completion, the appropriate measures will be taken, according to the agency.
