FAN dismantled the illegal mining camp in Bolívar that belonged to the "Guayana Train"

G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez reported that the FAN carried out an operation in the Canaima National Park in an illegal camp. There he seized explosives, strategic material and other military supplies.


The head of the Strategic Operational Command of the National Armed Forces (Ceofan), G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported that military personnel intervened in an open-air camp where illegal mining was carried out in Bolívar state and that it was operated by the criminal organization called “El Tren de Guayana”.

Through the social networks This Wednesday, December 14, Hernández Lárez indicated that these illegal installations were arranged in areas of Security and Defense of the country. The soldiers of the National Armed Forces (FAN) seized in an operation, carried out in the Canaima National Park, a “large amount of explosive materials and military supplies.”

These materials range from detonators, fuses and dynamite to aluminized gunpowder and quartermaster material. Similarly, the commander of the Ceofan denounced that “El Tren de Guayana” forces the local population for its criminal purposes.

He recalled that the FAN will carry out this type of intervention in the illegal illegal mining camps in the country’s national parks and prevent further environmental damage.
