The operational strategic commander of the National Armed Forces (FAN), Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported that military officials disabled a supposed “invader plane” in Venezuelan territory, but in an area close to Colombia.
This would be the tenth aircraft detected by officials of that body so far this year.
The incident was reported this Sunday, March 26, through Hernádez Lárez’s Twitter social network account.
“Invader plane, no identification code no flight planwith a transponder (position transmitter) disconnected, enters the national airspace (Alta Guajira) at a low level, being intercepted, ordered to land and disabled by the Venezuelan aerospace system,” the official wrote in a publication that he shared along with a video posted on their social media.

In this sense, he recalled that FAN units shot down 42 aircraft in 2022 and which are currently deployed in the Caura National Park.
In recent months, the government of Nicolás Maduro ordered numerous security operations in the south of the country, where gold mines are operating. The action left several camps of illegal minery destroyed and an unknown number of detainees.
