The search for Hernán Sacsara Palomino (38), missing since last Wednesday, January 21 after being swept away by the current of the Satipo River, continues without positive results, despite the use of heavy machinery in the area where it was presumed the body could be found.
This Thursday, January 23, with the support of a tracked excavator from the Municipality of Satipo, large stones were removed near Bellavista beach in Coviriali, where the man was last seen while fishing. However, the work did not allow the body to be located, so it was reported that the search will be expanded downstream.
Meanwhile, in the Los Angeles neighborhood, family and friends held a symbolic funeral for the fisherman’s clothes, amid scenes of deep pain and hope to find him.
As recalled, Hernán Sacsara was swept away by the strong current when he was fishing in the Satipo River, a fact that activated a search operation by the authorities and residents of the area.
