Family visits resume at the Arco Iris Custody Center

Under the biosafety parameters established by the Ministry of Health (Minsa), the Arco Iris Custody Center resumed family visits in a regulated manner after being free of Covid-19 infections.

The visits that had been suspended due to positive cases detected among the inmate population resume their course through the authorization of the Minsa doctors, who based on the respective exams approved the restoration of the right of adolescents to be visited by relatives or close friends. with the use of security measures to avoid the risk of new outbreaks of the virus.

“The young people were impatient to see their mothers or significant others again, for them it is very essential to have the presence of their relatives. For this reason, we have fully focused on ensuring that the process can continue to be carried out in an orderly and successful manner,” said Lidia Castañeda, director of the Arco Iris Custody Center.

The visiting period will be held every 15 days on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for one hour. Family members have been informed about the dates indicated and must present vaccination cards with the three doses or swab test with a negative result, wear masks and face shields to enter the center.
