Nicaraguan migrant Ervin Castellón Gonzáles, 49, died on November 14, after suffering a stroke at his workplace in New Jersey, United States, a country where he had resided for four years.
Texas Nicaraguan Community (TNC), through social networks, detailed that the Pinolero migrant is originally from the El Plan community, located in the municipality of Yalagüina, Madríz, and leaves three children orphaned.

The organization explained that Castellón, who with great effort also managed to take his wife and children to the United States, had serious health problems a few months ago, when he suffered a heart attack, and had to undergo surgery and receive a valve in his heart.
«On November 14, when he was working, he had a stroke and was rushed to the hospital. He was in the Intensive Care Unit, but unfortunately he did not respond to medical treatment and was declared brain dead, and then disconnected in the presence of his wife and son, so that they could say goodbye,” TNC said.
Collection to repatriate the body
TNC shared a video in which relatives of the Nicaraguan migrant urged help to repatriate Castellón’s body so that his parents could “see him for the last time” and give him a Christian burial in the land where he was born.
«We are making this video to ask for help. We need to repatriate his body and we do not have the resources to send him to be buried by his parents. We are here, his children and his wife. Help us, please, today for you, tomorrow for me,” said one of the relatives in the video posted on social networks.

Castellón’s wife, after the loss, assured TNC that for her “it is hard to continue life when the engine of the family is missing. Being away and going through all this is hard. “I don’t know how to face it.”
