A family outing ended in tragedy over the long weekend in Between riversafter two brothers aged 11 and 13 disappeared in a stream on Sunday afternoon.
Immediately, the authorities the province began the search for the young people, who had been seen for the last time at 6:15 p.m. in the “Las Conchas” stream, about 1,000 meters from the “La Picada” Bridge in Paraná, Between rivers.
Relatives of the victims informed the Police and firefighters that the teenagers had dived into the cold waters to combat the high temperatures of Between riversbut minutes later they lost track of them.
Although the search began yesterday afternoon and lasted until midnight, poor visibility forced the authorities to suspend the work and resume it this morning.
It was precisely at 9:00 a.m. this Monday that the group of tactical divers reported that the bodies of the minors had been found lifeless a few meters from where they were last seen.
The police chief of the Paraná department, Raúl Menescardi, explained that although the entrance to the stream “is very shallow, a few meters away there are wells up to 7 meters deep.”
For this reason, the search was carried out with suitable personnel, since, in addition to the tactical divers, personnel from the Sapper Fire Department, specialized police personnel and the Police Trained Infantry Guard (GIA) participated.

In consecuense, the authorities suggest that the minors could have been dragged by the current into deeper waterswhere they surely could not swim and ended up drowning.
However, the bodies will be transferred to the Morgue de Oro Verde to proceed with the corresponding autopsy and confirm if they died by drowning.
