In a fire registered on Isla Carenero, in the province of Bocas del Toro, a family lost everything after the flames consumed the wood and zinc house in which they lived.

The fire was registered at 1:26 in the morning and after an alert made by the National Police to the personnel of the Meritorious Fire Department of Bocas del Toro, the red shirts moved to the place to put out the fire in which there were no victims. fatal or injured.

According to Lieutenant Alexis Galimur, the extinction maneuver, in which a floating bomb was used, ended at 2:51 in the morning with the support of six firefighters.

Seven people lived in this residence, of which five are children, an older adult and a 30-year-old man.

After this fire, residents of the island asked the authorities to equip the firefighters with more extinguishing equipment to be able to attend to these emergencies.
