Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) authorized on Wednesday that former President Jair Bolsonaro, who is under house arrest, receives visits from family members without the need for prior authorization. 
THE Decision covers “children, sisters -in -law, granddaughters and grandchildren” of Bolsonaro. The minister wrote that the visits may occur “without prior communication, with the observance of the previously set legal and judicial determinations.”
Bolsonaro has been placed in a house arrest since the night of last Monday (4), by order of Moraes. At the time, there was a new seizure of cell phones from the former president, who had several devices taken by the investigators.
To the imposing the arrest, Moraes had restricted visits only to lawyers. In addition, he prohibited Bolsonaro from using cell phones, including third parties.
In the second ruling, the minister stated that Bolsonaro continues to “ignore and disrespects the Supreme, having“ deliberately ”violated precautionary measures that had been determined before, such as the order of not using social networks, in their own or third party profiles.
“THE Justice will not allow a defendant to make her foolish, Thinking it will be unpunished by having political and economic power, ”wrote the minister at the time.
Moraes attached posts on the social networks of the former president’s children last Sunday (3)in which Bolsonaro appears to greet protesters who went to the streets that day to defend a broad amnesty to those involved in a supposed pocket coup plot.
On Tuesday (5), Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) said that the publication on his profile was made by his initiative, without the participation of his father, who would not have violated the prohibition of use of social networks.
THE Bolsonaro’s defense said it was “take it by surprise” with the decree of house arrest. The former president’s team of lawyers prepares an appeal against the measure, which should be analyzed by the first class of the Supreme, formed by five ministers – besides Moraes himself, Cristiano Zanin, Luiz Fux, Carmen Lúcia and Flávio Dino.

Appeal
Behind the scenes, a wing of Supreme Ministers has expressed dissatisfaction with the home of Bolsonaro, as they see a climb of unnecessary tensions in the face of a possible conviction of the former president in the criminal plot’s criminal action later this year.
This same wing, however, evaluates that it is difficult for the arrest to be reversed by the first class, which would be seen with a capitulation in the face of the pressures of the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
The case of Bolsonaro, the US government announced sanctions to Moraes and other ministers of the Supreme. In parallel, also citing what would be a “witch hunt” against the former Brazilian president, Trump imposed one 50% tariff about some Brazilian products, as it came into force on Wednesday (6).
