Madrid Spain.- A family in Santiago de Cuba lost all their belongings and their apartment after a fire that occurred this Monday.
According to the rescuer Aris Arias Batalla through Facebookthe incident occurred in an apartment in one of the buildings belonging to Micro 8 of the José Martí Popular Council in Santiago de Cuba.
The fire was caused by an electric stove that the family left connected when leaving the house.
“We always insist on caution. This accident could have been avoided. Individuals, families and workers must make sure and verify before leaving their homes, offices and jobs the disconnection of electrical and electrical equipment”, warned Arias Batalla.
According to their statements, the immediate work of the Fire Department in the territory and the support of pipes belonging to Aguas Santiago, prevented the flames from spreading to neighboring apartments.
There were no reports of loss of human life and no injuries reported.
