Family farmers from the Northeast region will be in Anuga 2025, the largest international food and beverage fair, which is held between this Saturday (4) and Tuesday (7), in Colonia, Germany.
The initiative is from the Northeast Consortium, in partnership with Apexbrasil and Sebrae, with the objective of showing the European market products of about 30 farmers in the region, which concentrates almost 50% of family producers in Brazil.
In addition to Germany, the international mission will also pass through Portugal. In addition to the farmers, are in the state secretaries group, directors of public companies in the region, representatives of cooperatives of Minas Gerais and the Federal District, and members of the Northeast Consortium.
Among the products that will be presented are: special cafes and chocolates, caatinga honey, cashews, tapioca and fresh gum, beans, coconut oil, babassu flour, cashews, flowers and a wide range of agroindustrial products.
Anuga is a fair that occurs every two years. The latest edition moved about $ 530 million in business in 2023.
This year, cooperatives will have a special space at Apexbrasil’s booth. In addition, guided tours will occur so that family farmers can know, exchange experiences with producers around the world and establish crucial contacts for future business.
In Portugal, the visit will take place from October 7 to 10. The delegation will go to Lisbon, where it will participate in training and business rounds. The agenda foresees an export workshop and a product presentation meeting to potential Portuguese importers.
