Fallen trees, blown up roofs and some fires in fields were the result this Saturday of the Zonda wind erupting in Mendoza, especially in the foothills, Greater Mendoza and the Uco Valley, Civil Defense reported.

The agency reported that during the day it carried out 49 interventions and the most affected department was Guaymallén, with 21.

The municipality of Malargüe, in the south of the province, released photos of provincial route 222 where visibility was reduced, with snow on the road, for which it warned of the need to drive carefully, especially at night, and to carry chains.

For this Sunday, a marked drop in temperature is expected with a mostly cloudy day with the entrance of the frontal system, according to weather reports that estimate a maximum mark of 14 degrees and a minimum of 3.

In addition, there will be heavy snow again in the mountains.
