Lorelei Tarón, wife of the ‘Tiger of Santa Marta’, recounted through her Instagram stories how the emergency occurred, which fortunately did not go any further, but which sent them to the clinic for carbon monoxide poisoning: “We turned on a water heater that had no escape route.”
“We thought the smell was normal. I was very dizzy, but I thought it was the altitude,” said the wife of the Millonarios forward, who will not be able to be in Valledupar today due to the home accident that put the health of her loved ones at risk.
Lorelei adds that it was 10 minutes later when her 4-year-old son, Jedediah, came to her crying and told her he felt sick and wanted to throw up: “Jedi fell asleep, which I thought was super weird and I started to feel sleepy and fell asleep. Suddenly, a very strong smell came up and the lady who helps us around the house started yelling for us to get out quickly because the smell was unbearable.”
As she recounted, her and her children’s visible symptoms were: “Annette, crying because she felt bad; Jedi, asleep; and me, seeing the world upside down.
The wife of the Millonarios attacker said that her father was the one who ran to turn off the water heater: “But he was already vomiting and had no strength, so we ran to the hospital.”
