Acapulco, Gro., The president of the Senate, Olga Sánchez Cordero, rejected the versions that advanced that she was resigning from her position, as a consequence of the accusations against her by the former legal adviser of the Presidency, Julio Scherer Ibarra. Upon her arrival at the 85th Banking Convention in Acapulco, Sánchez Cordero was questioned about her alleged resignation, since Scherer Ibarra accuses her of having colluded with prosecutor Alejandro Gertz to pressure him and involve him in alleged extortion. Not at all, it’s fake news. Fake news, fake!said the retired minister. “I am stronger than ever (…) I remain in the Senate and as president.”
