As of this Wednesday, the 10% refund is in force for meat purchases made with a debit card. This is part of the agreement that the Government signed with the butcher shops, by including them in its Fair Prices.
The measure will be in force until December 31, 2023 and offers a maximum return of up to $2,000 per month for consumers. However, purchases must be made in participating stores to the program of Fair Prices.
The benefit that is part of the agreement of Fair Prices It was regulated by the AFIP (Federal Administration of Public Revenues) through general resolution 5330/2023, published this Wednesday.
The document states that The measure applies “to final consumers who make purchases at butcher shops with a debit, prepaid or similar card associated with open accounts in financial or fintech entities” and that it will be in force “for transactions made through payment terminals, as well as through QR codes.”
Likewise, it is specified that the payment platforms will have four days to credit the corresponding refund in the customer’s account and that the detail of each operation will appear in the summary of the end-of-month card of each user.
The AFIP explained: “Adhered businesses that have the category of registered manager or are monotributistas with up to three declared employees will be automatically incorporated into the reimbursement regime.”
New businesses must register in the Registry System through the agency’s website and go to the Special Registries option, then Characteristics and Special Registries and select Retail Butcher Shops-Reimbursement Regime.

Through its programthe Government established price caps for the most popular cuts of meat. The measure is valid until March 31 and then the cuts will have monthly increases of 3.2% until July.
