Failure in the Tuy II System leaves several areas of “Greater Caracas” without water

This Hidrocapital failure will affect three municipalities in Miranda state: El Hatillo, Sucre and Baruta. In addition to eight parishes in Caracas. The entity assured that the entire technical team is working to restore the water service


This Saturday, July 22, once again the Hydrological Office of the Capital Region (Hydrocapital) announced that the inhabitants of some sectors of the Capital District and Miranda state are affected by the cut in water service.

He explained that it was due to an emergency stop due to a breakdown in the main 72-inch adduction of the Tuy II System in the La Raiza sector of the Independencia municipality, Santa Teresa, Miranda. This fault will affect the municipalities of El Hatillo, Sucre and Baruta, as well as eight parishes in Caracas.

These are the parishes that will not have water service in the Capital District:

Recreation: La Campiña lower part, La Colina intermediate and lower part, Las Palmas, Avenida Casanova, Plaza Venezuela, Sabana Grande, San Antonio, Zona Rental, La Florida upper part, Pedro Camejo, Sarria, Pinto Salinas and Simón Rodríguez.

January 23: La Marina, block from 10 to 30, La Cañada, La Libertad (lower part), Los Arbolitos, Monte Piedad Block and San Souchi.

Saint Bernardine: San Bernardino intermediate and upper part.

High grace: Baralt Avenue, Panteón Avenue and Villas del Sol Urbanization.

San Agustin: Colinas de Las Acacias (upper part), Costa Rica, El Progreso, Hornos de Lime, Botanical Garden, La Ceibita, La Charneca, Marín, Vuelta El Castillo, San Agustín del Sur (upper part), Television, Terrazas de las Acacias, Terrazas del Alba.

Shepherdess: El Cardón neighborhood, Quote, Diego Lozada, El Retiro, Son of God, La Esperanza, La Pastora, Lídice, Los Rockers, Sabana del Blanco.

Saint Joseph: Block 1 of Quote, Callejón Pelayo, Callejón Santa Elena, Caraballo, Quote, Los Cuicitos, Vereda Gómez.

San Juan: Silence, Quinta Crespo, San Juan.

While in Miranda three municipalities are affected: El Hatillo, Baruta and Sucre. Among those that stand out are sectors such as Alto Hatillo, Altos de Monterrey, Calvario, El Cigarral, El Volcán, La Lagunita, La Boyera, Los Naranjos, Los Pinos, Los Pomelos, Cerro Verde in the municipality of El Hatillo; Escampadero, La Bonita, La Tahona in its upper part; Las Danielas, Minas de Baruta, Las Minitas, Los Samanes, Sorocaima, Terrazas del Club Hípico and Lomas de La Trinidad in the Baruta municipality; Barrio Isaías Medina Angarita, San Antonio, José Félix Ribas, Carpintero, upper part of Barrio Unión, Tanque La Virgen, upper part of Palo Verde, Lomas del Ávila, La Suiza, La Pomarrosa and the town of Guaioco in the Sucre municipality will not have service until the fault is repaired.
