The popular Colombian team América de Cali officially announced the hiring of Facundo Suárez, who this season was a member of Oriente Petrolero. The Argentine striker decided to leave the refinery club, despite the fact that a proposal had been made to him to renew his contract.
“The Argentine striker Facundo Suárez joins the American family. Let’s break it, Facu! ”, says the post of América de Cali on their social networks.
América de Cali published two photographs to announce the arrival of Facundo Suárez: in one of them he welcomes him and in the other he makes it known that he is Argentine, that he is 28 years old, that he plays as a striker and the clubs he has gone through until now.
Oriente Petrolero confirmed on Friday that Suárez would not continue his sports career as an albiverde player and it was taken for granted that he would play abroad, despite the fact that Bolívar and The Strongest also wanted to do so in Bolivia.
The Red Devils took the scorer of the refinery teamsince the Argentine scored nine goals in the Apertura tournament and eight in the Clausura.
América de Cali will be Facundo Suárez’s second club abroad, since The East was the first to open the doors to him outside his country.
