Transactions of negotiable invoices totaled more than S/ 13,000 million in the first semester

Factoring increases 30.2% until July after adding S/ 15,629 million

Between January and July 2022, 613,300 invoices were negotiated for an amount of S/ 15,629 million, a figure 30.2% higher in relation to the same period of the previous year, revealed a report from the General Office of Impact Assessment and Economic Studies of the Ministry of Production (Produce).

According to the document, only in July the amount of negotiable invoices was S/ 2,698 million, an amount higher by 43.1%, compared to July 2021, which shows that there are significant signs of recovery in the financing market of the negotiable invoices.

In the group of companies that are financed with negotiable invoices, mypes represent 82.6% and within that universe, 87.1% of the services sector is financed under this modality, while 76% of the commerce sector also used this mechanism.

Produce indicated that in the case of the fishing sector this percentage is 98%, while in mining it reaches 80.7%.

The 28.5% expansion in the amount of negotiable invoices of the industry sector as of July 2022 was mainly explained by the increase in the paper industry (85.9%), chemical industry (23.6%) and the metal industry more than 15%. .

However, the industries that showed the greatest growth in the amount of negotiable invoices are leather and the motor vehicle industry.

The report added that, as of July 2022, 72.1% of negotiable invoices were concentrated in large companies (S/ 11,260 million) and 24.3% in the mype segment (S/ 3,803 million).

The microenterprise represents 7.8% (S/ 1,260 million) and the mype segment 24.3% (S/ 3,803 million).

In the accumulated from January to July 2022, the amount recorded for negotiable invoices increased in all business segments.

In small business it was 25.6%; the large company 35.2%; the medium-sized company grew 51.3% and the micro-enterprise made a great jump of 139% compared to the first half of 2021.
