Faced with IPS’s refusal, a woman with a tumor on her face will undergo surgery in Argentina

After receiving a refusal from IPS, Juana Mercado, who has a tumor on her face, will travel to Argentina to undergo the surgery that she has been requesting and needing for a long time.

On February 10, a medical board had approved that Juana be operated on, since she is not insured by the social security system, a study of her case was made and through an agreement with the Ministry of Health, an agreement was reached to perform the surgery.

However, the doctor who had to do the job, Dr. Rafael Monzón, did not participate in this meeting and now that he was summoned to learn about the operation, he himself said that the surgery recommended for Juana’s case is not his specialty.

Faced with this refusal, Juana began the procedures to travel to Argentina and undergo surgery. This Monday, in a conversation with Universo 970 of Nación Media, she confirmed that she plans to go to the neighboring country in the next few hours.

“In the IPS, unfortunately, this surgery could not be performed,” he lamented and explained that the Ministry of Health is in charge of the paperwork for the trip.

However, she maintained that she must take care of other expenses involved in the trip and is also concerned about the care of her youngest daughter, who will not be able to go with her.

Mrs. Mercado made her telephone number available for those who want to help her (0982) 630610.
