2023 is a particular year. You will have many long holidays, ideal for traveling and getting to know the country. Beyond the traditional destinations, Bolivia has untapped tourist gems. There are private initiatives that are endeavors, but lack incentives. Developing the industry without chimneys should be a priority for the State at its three levels of government: maintained roads, good basic sanitation in cities and towns; comfortable hotels for all budgets, as well as organized tours to discover the potential that exists in the national territory. Unfortunately, there is a lack of management in the tourism portfolios and the ventures are sacrificed, but they are paving the way. As citizens we have to support them and make the most of them.
The boys go back to school on Wednesday. High school students will find news in the history records when they read that in Bolivia there was a “coup” in 2019, in the face of the understanding of a large part of the country that what actually happened was the resignation of a president, in whose government the elections were rigged or, in other words, a leader who wanted to stay in power by fraud. In families, it will be time to encourage analysis and a critical look.
Teachers and students will have complications also with the new curricular mesh. It is very good that they teach English, robotics and other specialties to children and adolescents in schools, but to do it, it is with quality; that is, training teachers and not leaving the contents to improvisation. The Ministry of Education will have to correct the error for the good of the educational system in general.
