Once again the racquet shows its face for Bolivia. Despite the lack of support and the few venues that exist in the country for its practices, the sport that is not yet considered Olympic brings joy to the country. Conrrado Moscoso from Chuquisaca was filled with glory by beating Rocky Carson in the final, played in Mexico, in an outstanding performance and an unforgettable comeback. Now Sucre and the country await him with a historic welcome. The caravans, papers and flowers are already ready, in addition to the most important recognitions to receive the new world champion, the pride of all Bolivians. This inspiring achievement reproduces in other athletes the same desire and reasons to represent the country every time he plays. It is now and always missing, on the part of the authorities of each instance, to support with the adequate conditions so that other values like him return home with the deserved triumphs.
The cold war does not only play in politics. Vaccines against covid-19 have unleashed a patent war and once again the dispute between large pharmaceutical companies has led to a lawsuit that has won the scientific-judicial scenario in recent hours. Moderna has denounced in a Massachusetts court that Pfizer-BioNTech copied its technology to make the covid vaccine. According to El Confidencial, the executive director of Moderna Stéphane Bancel expressed: “This lawsuit seeks to protect the innovative mRNA technology platform in which we were pioneers, in which we invested millions of dollars for its creation and which we patented during the previous decade to the covid pandemic”.
