Fabiola Araúz becomes the great Aeropress Champion Panama 2024

Panamanian women continue to be the protagonists of great achievements, this was demonstrated in the 2nd National Aeropress Championship held within the framework of the 3rd edition of Territorio Café, with the winner being Chiriquí native Fabiola Araúz, who will represent us from September 19 to 21 in Lisbon, Portugal, with all expenses paid, round-trip ticket courtesy of the travel agency Next Travel Panama, in addition to receiving a high-end manual commander grinder sponsored by the official brand of the World AeroPress Championship, among other prizes.

52 competitors registered for the competition, of which María Santamaría came in third place and Silvio Díaz in second place, who accompanied the winner in the final round, demonstrating the camaraderie and support of all the contestants until the last moment of the competition.

“Thanks to everyone, especially Territorio Café for the effort to make such a brutal event, uniting the industry with one big goal, to bring Panama to Lisbon with the best coffee in the world,” Fabiola highlighted after the competition. 

The grand finale judging panel was made up of Valentina Pedrotti (Q Grader), Tessie Palacios de Hartmann (Producer and owner of Mi Finquita), Jairo Ramírez (International Judge from Colombia, roaster and Q Grader) and Julio Villasmil (Head Judge). All of them with extensive experience and a track record in coffee culture.

For the competition, Santos Café and Susans Coffee were selected as official coffees.
