While Miguel Rodríguez Orejuela seeks to collaborate with the truth, the former boss of the Medellín Cartel claims to have no interest in getting involved.
News Colombia.
Fabio Ochoa Vásquez, the former member of the Medellín Cartel, returned to Colombia this December 23 after serving a sentence for drug trafficking in the United States.
His arrival in the country took place at the El Dorado airport in Bogotá, where he was received by family and the media, marking the end of a long judicial period abroad.
However, the former drug trafficker dismissed this possibility in statements to the media:
“No, I haven’t thought about that. “I am a type of peace, but I have not thought about that,” he stated forcefully.
The concept of peace managers has been one of the tools proposed by the current government to integrate different actors who can contribute to dialogues with armed groups and clarify past events.
In this context, other former drug traffickers have expressed their interest in assuming this role.
