While Montevideo, the capital city, gave a resounding victory to the Frente Amplio with 50.3% of the votes, other departments such as Artigas (39%) and Paysandu (39.4%) showed closer races.
He National Partyunder the leadership of Álvaro Delgado, assured 6 departmentsreflecting a measured and less auspicious presence than five years ago. His performance highlights the party’s enduring appeal in specific regions. While it failed to win a clear majority in any individual department, its consistent participation in multiple regions marks a notable presence in the national political conversation.
