In the last few hours, the FA sent a request for reports to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs referring to the trips that Enciso made during the month of March in the department of Florida.

As indicated by the FA in the request for information, Enciso carried out different activities that can be interpreted as “political actions within the framework of the referendum, which according to article 2 of Law 19,841 (Statute of the Official of the Foreign Service of the Republic), is expressly prohibited.”

According to the Statute, “diplomatic personnel are at the service of the Nation with complete independence from persons, political groups or parties.”

The Frente Amplio legislators indicated that according to the social networks, “the ambassador expressed opinions on the referendum of March 27”.

Rejection

For his part, the deputy for the National Party, Álvaro Rodríguez Hunter, went out to the senators of the Broad Front, after they made the request for information regarding the political performance of Ambassador Enciso in the referendum.

In this sense, the white legislator asked: “Do you want a political ambassador not to set foot in your department? That he not defend a Law of his president? And that he be locked up in his Embassy instead of taking steps to encourage sources work in Uruguay?

“I hope it is not a Chicana because of many Uruguayans in Argentina who decided not to repeal it,” Rodríguez questioned.
