The president of the Broad Front, Fernando Pereira, met in the last hours with the benches of senators and deputies from the Broad Front, in the Huella de Seregni.

In this context, Pereira said that “when the Broad Front says that there are no medications in public health, it is because people need insulin and there are none in hospitals, when it says that there is a shortage it is because the prices are extremely expensive, or when it expresses that there are no wage increases, it is because inflation is above what the government has forecast”.

He added that “the educational budget did not grow, the 136 model high schools are not there, and pensions and salaries also fell.”

He stressed that there is no policy for the Ministry of Social Development, because it is horrible that 100,000 Uruguayans continue to eat in popular pots and that child and adolescent poverty has increased.

“There is a model that failed, because it accumulates 9,500 million dollars in a few hands and those who have less get very little. They were not prepared to govern”, said the president of the FA.

Pereira assured that the FA has a political plan and this implies visiting all the departments of the country to hold meetings with social organizations. “We want to transform the national reality.”

The president of the FA assured that a first stage is to remove the Rendering of Accounts from Parliament and place it on every street in the city, to explain its content and what the left proposes.

He indicated that for the FA the priorities are: education (science and technology), health, housing, social policies, security (improving their salaries), salary recovery. He said zero-spend Accountability “gives the chills.”
