The feeling of insecurity in TransMilenio is still latent. Given this, the Police assured that one of the strategies to avoid cases of robbery or other crimes, will be toIncrease the foot of force in 50 critical points of the Integrated Public Transport System.

However, the statistics of the District Security Secretariat show that so far in 2022 thefts from people inside TransMilenio buses increased by 135%. In this sense, they went from 2,859 in 2021 to 6,733 cases.
Cell phone theft is one of the crimes that generates the most concern.. In the count of this criminal modality there was an increase of 138 percent, since it went from having a cumulative number of 1,968 in 2021, to 4,696 cases in 2022.
For the commander of the TransMilenio Police, Lieutenant Colonel Jader Llerena, it is important to prioritize 50 stations that are critical since so that the impact of crime can be mitigated.
