From Cartagena, the National Police Director, General Jorge Luis Vargas, celebrated the extradition of Dairo Antonio Úsuga David, alias ‘Otoniel’, who is expected to face a United States Court.
General Vargas assured that “this most dangerous criminal is going to pay a long sentence in the United States and he will have to arrive in Colombia or in any other court in the world to pay for his crimes.”

“We hope that a criminal of this nature never gets out of jailly to pay for all his crimes, crimes against humanity. This is great news in the fight against drug trafficking on the planet, our job is to guarantee the safety of the most dangerous criminal in Colombia, Pablo Escobar had fewer criminals at his service than ‘Otoniel’ has”, said the national director of police.
He detailed, “very specific instructions have been given to the director of the Dijín, to the National Police with specialized units so that Let’s increase all security and surveillance measures where he is being held the most dangerous drug trafficker of this century, murderer of social leaders, of policemen and soldiers, of human rights defenders, abuser of girls”.
“We are fully vigilant of security around this offender, it will be a matter of a few days for the mandate of the Supreme Court to be fulfilledfrom the President of the Republic, to send it to the United States, where it is required by three courts in that country, due to the issue of drug trafficking, with large tons of drug trafficking,” he said.
The National Director of the Police was emphatic in saying that for more than eight years he had been persecuting alias ‘Otoniel’. “I know of the multiple stories of families where their daughters were abused in exchange for money or by force, he is a criminal of the worst danger,” he concluded.
