Extradited to Peru Roberto Salinas, criminal with extensive criminal record

The Ministry of Government informed in the last hours the extradition to Peru of Roberto Salinas Chumacero, a criminal with an extensive criminal record who remained in the prison of Palmasola (Santa Cruz).

The highest authority of that office, Eduardo del Castillo, confirmed the transfer of the foreigner, who was made available to authorities of the International Policeto answer various charges.

“Fulfilling our international commitments, moments ago Mr. Roberto Salinas Chumacero was released for extradition purposes to the Republic of Peru. It was made available to Interpol staff,” he posted.

Salinas was wanted for aggravated robbery, possession of weapons, criminal association, material and ideological falsehood and use of counterfeit instruments, and was serving a four-year sentence in Santa Cruz prison for aggravated robbery.

On Saturday night, Salinas was taken from the Palmasola prison to the Viru Viru airport before being transferred to Peru, where was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities of that country.
