The course is free and is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students and people interested in the subject and aims to stimulate reflection and studies on topics involving national defense.

Lasting five days, the short has a hybrid format, with face-to-face and virtual classes and will be held in the auditorium of the Federal University of Amazonas, in Manaus. Roundtables and lectures will be promoted. Among the topics to be discussed are the analysis of security and defense concepts adopted by the Ministry of Defense, the relationship between State intelligence and national defense, and the role of the Amazon Military Command (CMA) in interagency operations, among others. .

According to Defense, the academic activity is carried out through the Defense Studies Advisory (AED) of the ministry in partnership with higher education institutions in the country.
