Through Supreme Decree No. 005-2022-SA, the government extended the period that allows imported products the use of adhesives with the advertising warnings provided in the “Manual of Advertising Warnings, approved by Supreme Decree 012-2018-SA, until December 31, 2022.
The Manual establishes the technical specifications to record advertising warnings on processed foods within the framework of the provisions of Law 30021, Law for the promotion of healthy eating for children and adolescents.
Likewise, Supreme Decree No. 005-2022-SA extends until December 31, 2022 the term for micro and small companies so that they can make use of adhesives with the advertising warnings provided in the aforementioned Manual.

It should be noted that the aforementioned standard establishes that “the temporary use of adhesives in the case of imported products, as well as for products made by micro and small companies, contributes to continuing to comply with current regulations, to the extent that provide clear, legible, prominent and understandable information about advertising warnings.”
“This extension of the term will allow imported foods to continue entering and being marketed using adhesives for advertising warnings, contributing to achieving the legitimate objective of providing information in accordance with the Law for the Promotion of Healthy Food, without this constituting a restriction. unnecessary to trade and generate cost overruns that harm end consumers,” said Mincetur Minister Roberto Sánchez.
COMPLIANCE REPORT
The Supreme Decree also states that, within a maximum period of six months, the Ministry of Health, with the participation of the various sectors and public entities (including the Mincetur), will issue a report on the evolution of compliance with the use of labeling in the form indelible on the label with the corresponding advertising warnings.
