The new administrative decision provides that it will no longer be necessary to enable points of entry into the national territory as a “safe corridor” and determines a scheduled and staggered opening of sites not enabled to date.
Through administrative decision 370/2022, published this Thursday in the Official Gazette of the Argentine government, the measures that established ‘safe corridors’ for the border crossing to and from Argentina were repealed.
With this measure there are 237 entry and exit points, both land, river, sea and air, which will begin to operate according to the conditions prior to the pandemic, although with requirements related to the control of Covid-19.
“All points of entry into the country authorized prior to the issuance of this or as established in this article and the points of entry into the national territory that are coordinated in the future may operate under the conditions agreed upon prior to the entry into force of Decree No. 260/20 -without requiring to be a “safe corridor”-, with the exceptions regarding the sanitary requirements demanded in this administrative decision”, mentions article 6 of the document.
Likewise, it determines “a scheduled and staggered opening of the points of entry into the national territory not enabled to date, which will be enabled in coordination with the national and jurisdictional authorities and in accordance with the Agreements on Coordination of opening and closing of border crossings. subscribed”.
Among the requirements that remain in the new determination – in addition to the migratory ones themselves – is a sworn statement on the vaccination status and absence of symptoms of Covid-19, in addition to covid-19 health insurance with coverage of hospitalization services. , isolation or medical transfers for those who are positive cases, suspects or close contacts.
